VQPRINT (2021)
As computer vision models incorporate advances in natural language processing, explorations of form are no longer constrained to predefined dataset labels. This series of twelve prints reflects on visual phenomena understood by algorithms outside of predetermined categories. A vector quantiser is used to force the drawings to consider a limited set of inks (and sometimes their overprint), All drawings are the results of a prompting only with the artwork title, the neural network algorithm then planned all colors and shapes.
